Mission Statement

Old Fletton Primary School seeks to provide a challenging and productive learning environment which welcomes the support of all concerned with the continuing drive for high standards - children, staff, parents, friends and governors.

The mission statement was drawn up through consultation with all stakeholders during the summer of 1999. The children's needs were at the forefront of everyone's thinking but it was also recognised, by all members of the school community, that positive working relationships are essential to school improvement.

At Old Fletton we aim to;

•	Cater for the needs of all children
•	Encourage children to take care of themselves, others and their surroundings.
•	Encourage children to do their best and have high expectations for all.
•	Ensure that all members of our school community, parents, governors, staff and children work together.
•	Provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment.
•	Provide opportunities for quality play activities as part of the learning experience.
•	Expect high standards of behaviour and achievement.
•	Recognise effort and success.
•	Ensure that all members have pride in our school.
•	Ensure a welcoming atmosphere for anyone who visits or joins our community.
•	To support children to develop responsible attitudes and practices to prepare them for adulthood.
