MARCH NEWSLETTER, 2008

HELLO EVERYONE!
I have been fortunate enough to spend quite a number of days at Old Fletton during the last half term as part of the hand over process. I have found the staff and children to be most welcoming and helpful. I am absolutely thrilled to be in full time post and I am looking forward to the Summer Term. I am aware of the many difficulties that have faced the school during the past year and I want to assure you that the governors, teachers and myself will be working extremely hard towards a more promising inspection from OFSTED in the near future. I would gladly welcome any ideas that you may have about how the school could improve further. Working in partnership with parents is the only truly effective way to run a school. There is a chance to meet me, listen to my vision for the school and talk to me about the school arranged for April 17th at 6:30pm—cheese and wine will also be available! If this is not convenient I will of course be happy to see you at a mutually convenient time (I can not offer the cheese or the wine though!)

Also a big thank you to the parents of Year 6 pupils, they ensured that the children were here and ready to learn - (not an easy task!)
