(Parent Governor and member of the Strategic and
Governor Profile Committees) My family and I
moved to Peterborough from London five years ago
and I am currently a stay at home mum with two
adorable (well most of the time) children, one
of whom is in Key Stage 1 at Old Fletton Primary,
the other whom will be starting school soon. I’m
a volunteer at the British Heart Foundation in
my spare time and I speak fluent Gujarati.
Before taking a break to have my children, I worked
in the charity sector (Royal National Institute
of the Blind) for ten years, seven of which were
within the business process improvement area,
where some of my responsibilities included measuring
and monitoring activities with a view to continuous
improvement of the service and business. As a
new Parent Governor I hope to bring these skills
to the school and being a sincere advocate of
community spirit I’m really looking forward
to sinking my teeth into this role.
