Attendance

We believe your child deserves the best possible primary education. To achieve this, as well as providing a broad, balanced and stimulating curriculum we need parents to work in partnership with us in ensuring your child's good attendance.

Children should attend school regularly and be punctual. Currently the national average attendance rate for a child of Primary School age is 96%. We therefore set this as a school target and monitor children's attendance if it falls below this rate. Of course we understand that from time to time absence from school is unavoidable, due to childhood illnesses, such as chicken pox, and if you are in any doubt about whether or not your child may attend school please contact the school office (tel. 01733 554457).

We have produced a quick reference poster that will show you how a few days absence will affect your child's attendance level and how this will be viewed and dealt with by school, unless we are aware of special circumstances that affect your child's attendance. It can be viewed by using the Poster link below.
